How often do you find yourself being completely mindful while talking to another person, while eating, cooking, or practicing yoga? Being mindful every moment is not something that comes naturally, because the human mind tends to look for points, analyze and think incessantly.
But what happens when we start to be really mindful, calmly and deeply live each experience, without analyzing, judging and expecting? By standing on the mat and in any other life situation, thanks to mindfulness, you are able to fully benefit from the uniqueness of each moment, while experiencing everything much more deeply.
Mindfulness- mindfulness helps to synchronize the body and mind is a tool that gives us the opportunity to use the moment more, listen to ourselves and others. Careful yoga practice allows you to achieve the effects of a much deeper union with yourself. As with everything, when we focus our attention on something, we are able to do something better, deeper, and draw from what can bring a different quality to our exercises.
Mindfulness is also a much more aroused sensitivity towards oneself and others. This sensitivity teaches us to see the needs of our own body during yoga practice. We learn to be better for ourselves, it is easier to accept limitations, not to get tense.
I experience without preference
Following the assumptions of Mindfulness, the current of self-evaluation also changes, from negative thinking, at a time when the asanas on a given day do not go out as we would expect. It teaches us not to tense ourselves or punish ourselves. One of the definitions of Mindfulness very well reflects the meaning of this trend, "Mindfulness is being aware of what is happening, then it is happening, without preference."
This term is a perfect example of how mindfulness can affect yoga practice and more. It happens that during the exercises we think, "I wish I hadn't hurt". How can one be without preferences in such a situation? Just by experiencing what is happening at the moment.
Conscious breathing
During yoga practice, conscious breathing is also very important, as well as activating the diaphragm, and steady deep breathing increases our ability to perform exercises. Mindfulness also allows us to visualize how our body reacts in various emotional states or specific positions.
Mindful concentration on yourself
When we get on the mat and practice yoga in group classes, sometimes you find yourself comparing yourself with others. Mindfulness keeps our concentration focused on ourselves, without the need to match the person exercising next to us. Letting go of these thoughts and emotions gives you a great sense of inner peace. I allow this thought to arise, but I do not delve into it, I do not follow it. In relaxation positions, at the end of exercises, unresolved thoughts, experiences and fears often come back to us. By being with it and letting it go through, we are giving you a chance to harmonize these feelings. Accepting reality as it is is letting go of what blocks us and does not allow us to fully enjoy the moment.
Intention
A very important element of mindful yoga practice is intention, realizing the motivation to practice. When our assumption is to practice yoga carefully, we know what we want to strive for. Being on the mat, I am aware of every movement, I experience what is here at the moment, let go of my thoughts, returning to what is here and now. Mindfulness techniques talk about the supports of mindfulness, it can be a breath or a sound. When our thoughts run away, we can focus on one of them to get back to the moment without being overburdened with thoughts. Merely focusing on performing an asana or moving from one position to another can also become a support for mindfulness. The saying, "You cannot enter the same river twice, because it flows all the time", describes the changeability of the moment well, we experience something different all the time, it is worth being aware of it.
Knowing yourself
When we feel difficult during yoga practice, it gives us the opportunity to get to know ourselves, to see what is happening at a given moment and for what reason. We may compare ourselves to someone else, we may get discouraged, we give up or we stutter. With the help of mindfulness, we are able to get to know our mental conditions, the awareness of this makes them no longer able to guide us, this great feeling of freedom.
The text is based on a conversation with Tomasz Zalas, a psychologist, Mindfulness trainer (Mindfulness Association MBLC Trainer), who conducts mindfulness courses and yoga practitioner.

Admittedly, today's market abounds in various types of yoga mats. Sometimes it's even hard for us to decide on one of the options. Have you ever heard of those made of polyurethane? As it turns out, this variant is gaining more and more supporters. What attracts new yogis and why should you choose him?
Characteristics of PU mats
It should be noted that these accessories are not (in most cases) made entirely of polyurethane. Typically, this material is used for the top layer of mats, while their center is filled with another material, e.g. rubber. As we can guess, however, it is polyurethane that we owe some characteristic features ...
PU mats stand out significantly from their competitors. They are primarily larger - their width is usually over 60 cm. The material is soft and pleasant to the touch, so it protects our joints and bones perfectly. Performing asanas on such surfaces is completely safe and comfortable. Another undeniable advantage is their anti-slip properties. From the very first yoga session, we can enjoy reliable adhesion to the ground. What's more, the mat does not fold in any of its sections, even immediately after unfolding it. Although the name "polyurethane surface" sounds unusual to us, this variant is completely safe for our skin.
Ferrari among mats
PU mats are definitely one of the more expensive variants. The average prices of these certified options are around PLN 550. So it is an expense that can mark a significant scratch in our budget. In this case, however, a considerable price goes hand in hand with great quality, and polyurethane coated mats are considered the most durable. A one-time expense will allow you to enjoy it for a long, long time.
PU mats - for whom?
Is this a good starting mat? Not necessarily. You already know us a bit and you know that we are trying to be practical. If yoga is to be an irregular activity for you, and this type of activity is only a temporary adventure - opt for cheaper options. The PU mat will be a great solution for yogis who cannot imagine a day or week without yoga classes.
It will be perfect both for exercises at home and in a professional studio. However, it should be remembered that its increased width affects not only the comfort of practice, but also the weight. PU mats are therefore heavier than standard variants, and thus - sometimes impractical. They work well for people who get to yoga classes by car.
Thanks to the outstanding anti-slip properties, PU mats are often recommended for the practice of dynamic yoga styles. However, this is not a rule, and using this accessory you can also perform calmer exercises.
What should you watch out for?
When deciding to buy such an expensive mat, pay attention to every detail. First of all, it is worth taking care of the quality certificates that each mat should have. It is them that ensure that such a delicate material as PU will be resistant to most pollution. The colors of polyurethane mats are also prone to fading. To prevent this, the PU mat is not wiped with alcohol-based solutions, but with water alone or with a solution of water and cotton wool. Appropriate certificates are the best guarantee for us that the mat will look like new for a long time. Also think about the company you choose. Have they gained the trust of customers? Were their products made in harmony with the environment? Be sure to answer these questions.
Is it worth it?
Unfortunately, there is no clear answer to this question, and the final decision depends on your individual needs. For this, we can confirm that a PU mat that meets all the above-mentioned requirements will be worth its considerable price. Finally, we have nothing else to do but get acquainted with our unique offer of PU MATT mats and wish you a successful yoga practice!

Everyone knows how important breathing is. It allows our body to exist and is an essential part of physical processes. When something scares us, we take a deep breath, when we are nervous, our breathing speeds up, when we feel bliss or relaxation, we breathe slowly, rhythmically, calming down our body. However, do you realize that by controlling your own breathing, you are able to control your emotions, thoughts, and body?
The importance of breathing in yoga cannot be overestimated, correctly performed asanas, without combining them with the evenness of breathing, lose much of the effects on our body and mind. Pranayama - control of breathing, vital energy is one of the elements of knowing your body and mind. The term pranayama is a combination of two Sanskrit terms - "prana" and "ayama". Prana - energy, ayama - spread. Literally translated, it means "controlling the life energy" or "spreading the life energy".
Breath In yoga, the breath is similar to the breath of a newborn. There is no pause between the inhalation and exhalation.
How important breathing is
The breath accompanies us in every second of our life, during yoga classes it is worth remembering about it all the time. It gives us tranquility, allows us to control our emotions, especially those that try to take over us. When we stand on a mat while practicing yoga, we are able to expand our ranges with proper breathing. Breathing causes that the pain that accompanies us while taking asanas becomes less, the body accepts it more and stretches it. It often happens that when we practice more difficult positions, we stop breathing, thus causing more pain, and we get discouraged at the same time. The perfect solution is to consciously return to breathing, it allows us to hold the given asana much longer, then we can go beyond our limits.
Pranayama
In the eight-step path of yoga, pranayama is very important. The breath over which we control opens new perspectives for the exploration of the body and spirit. There are many breathing techniques, but at the beginning it is important to be aware of the meaning of the breath itself, to be able to recognize which part of the body we are breathing and how it affects the processes in our body.
The next step is to consciously deepen the possibilities of our breathing, expand the efficiency of the lungs, distribute the breath in the body and self-control the body with the inhaled air. If I know what we can breathe, calm down, or stimulate ourselves, we have a powerful ally in our hands.
We can use pranayama practices to concentrate and calm down, as we know in yoga it is the basis of effective exercises that will balance our body and calm our thoughts.
Breathing during yoga practice
When practicing yoga, it is very important that our breathing is fluid and noticeable all the time. Inhale should be shorter, exhale longer. However, it all depends on the position taken, for example, when we raise our leg or bend, we do not inhale, but exhale. In these situations, we stretch the muscle, we want to relax it. When we start the exercise, it may seem illogical to us to inhale, sometimes we do, but we bend while exhaling. As a general rule, exhaling is relaxing, while inhaling causes tension. Proper breathing also means oxygenated muscles, allowing us to practice better.
Breathe through the nose or mouth
It is very important whether we breathe through the nose or through the mouth during yoga practice. During the exercises, inhalation and exhalation should be done through the nose, if the air is exhaled through the mouth, we lose energy, during the practice we want to use the energy that is inside us all the time. At the moment of calmness and relaxation, at the end of the class, however, it is worth exhaling through your slightly open mouth.
Even with a stuffy nose, it's worth trying to exercise with nasal breathing. When exhaling, we open the nostrils, people with a runny nose, allergies or a crooked nasal septum can help themselves by breathing. At first it will be shallower, but it will get deeper over time. If one has been used to mouth breathing before, he or she can develop a new pattern of nasal breathing air, everything is a process. Breathing through the nose also helps to filter the oxygen, trapping elements harmful to the body, and then purified air enters the lungs and blood.
For Westerners, yoga is needed to calm down and become more flexible. Breathing helps us stop the racing of thoughts and concentration. It is worth practicing yoga with your head, that is, on the one hand, put your thoughts aside, and on the other hand, practice "with your head", not thoughtlessness, concentration and being here and now during the practice is very necessary.
Things worth remembering
Let's not forget that breathing accompanies us all the time, in difficult moments it is better to breathe out at the beginning, not inhale, because it is the exhalation that can calm us down. Conscious breathing makes it easier for us to control our lives. Increased awareness of the breath, increases awareness of yourself, directing your attention to your inner being here and now.
The text is based on a conversation with Barbara Poniatowska, yoga and relaxation instructor, creator of an original anti-stress program based on yoga techniques and conscious breathing.

Monika Ochudło - yoga instructor, working, among others, in an osteopathy clinic, author of the blog jogadlaciebiei. Yoga appeared in her life when her brother delayed his application to a university, which completely changed her life choice. When she faced the threat of losing her life, she realized I didn't want to rush anymore, stopped, found what filled the void. Through the practice of yoga, she found her true nature, reached under the shell of human existence. Now she helps others find balance, health, happiness and peace.
In what areas of your life does yoga appear?
I am a yoga instructor, I also work in an osteopathy clinic in Katowice. I run yoga classes there tailored to the limitations of my patients, they come to me as part of improving my body.
Yoga is a good way to support treatment, return to fitness?
In the clinic where we work, we operate interdisciplinary, the diagnosis is followed by treatment of patients. Many specialists from various fields are involved in this process. When patients come to me, I am able to adapt yoga exercises to their dysfunctions. I teach them how to help themselves. People with various dysfunctions and at different levels of physical fitness come to the clinic where I work. I try to teach my patients physical re-education. I am convinced that yoga is an irreplaceable form of supporting the recovery process.
Is there a place in your life for other activities besides yoga?
I work in several other areas, besides working in an osteopathy clinic, I also work as a clinical research coordinator, which is my main profession.
How has yoga come your way?
After graduating from high school, I left for work in England. I also wanted to become a psychologist, but my brother did not apply for university in a timely manner and it turned out that I could only go to extramural studies, which I wanted to avoid. In such a situation, I made a decision that I would submit my papers to the University of Physical Education in the field of Management in Tourism, Gastronomy and Hotel Management. When I was admitted to the university, I was obliged to choose a sports subject, I chose yoga.
What was your relationship with yoga in the beginning?
At the beginning, I practiced twice a week for two hours. Then I noticed that despite what a sporty lifestyle seemed to me, my body was very stiff. A bend with straight back to the floor was practically impossible in my case. Then a thought popped into my head that there must be something wrong with me, that my mental tension is transferred to my body, which causes a small range of movements.
I started going to the meetings of the Yoga Academic Association in Katowice, led by prof. Janusz Szopa. It is a figure that has been promoting this form of physical activity in Poland for many years. He may say that he was a precursor who introduced yoga to universities. He regularly travels to India, from there he draws his experience and knowledge. His story is interesting because he began practicing yoga at the age of forty, and he is a professor of mathematics by education. At this stage of my adventure with yoga, I already knew that it was definitely something for me.
In the beginning, the practice involved bodily changes for you?
The beginnings of yoga practice for me were closely related to the body, especially since I was just starting my studies at the most "body" academy in Poland. I practiced to have a greater range of motion, but quickly changes to my body began to emerge. Musculature enhanced, silhouette became slender. My endurance increased significantly, I was able to stand on my head and on my hands. The longer I practiced, the more things started to change, I saw much more than what was given to me at the Academy of Physical Education. At the University of Physical Education, we focused on the body, on how the performance of the body and physical fitness can be measured in the parameters. However, this is a college and university, and nothing that is not scientifically proven can be passed on to students, I have found spiritual issues elsewhere.
Changes in the body also entail changes in the functioning of the body, we feel better, we are healthier, our heart works better, we have stronger bones. Not all parameters related to the practice of yoga can be tested, the changes that occur in the mind or mind cannot be put on paper. Our tension in the psyche translates into tension in the body. The slack in the body appears first in the head.
Have you met people on your way who opened another door to self-awareness?
All the time I meet someone who shows me that yoga is not only a fit body, but also self-respect, respect for the world around us, principles of not hurting yourself and others. Along the way, I discovered various courses, trainings, I got to know the mechanisms of the human mind. On the path of research, I understood that yoga is not about rivalry, competition. It is important to feel good with yourself every day, to be fit and healthy. There is no need to outdo yourself in complicated positions, the point here is to find yourself at some point in your life.
Find yourself and your place in the world?
We are part of nature, this is extremely important, in nature, in slow mode, a lot more positive things happen in our head than when we are constantly chasing something. We often try to catch up with some imaginary expectations of our ego.
In the practice of yoga, it is also important to give up our ego, everything we do and do here and now, for ourselves, not to compete with others. If we want to compete, let's compete with ourselves yesterday. When we get to the bottom of it, it's easier to understand that the point is to make us feel good in our own body, to open our eyes, to perceive little pleasures.
How has the yoga path changed your life?
Most of all, I slowed down. I also had an unpleasant situation along the way, I ran a bar the whole time of my studies, I gave up on it before writing my master's thesis. Just before defending the job, I had health complications - a cyst on my ovary ruptured. As I had never felt then, that I would not get anywhere in my haste. After this event, many of my reflections on life changed, I knew that I had to slow down, do what I like.
Are you a different person?
I'm less nervous, it used to be different. The accident in which I could lose my life, losing about 35% of my blood, which happened the day before the defense of my master's thesis, directed my life on a different track. A month after the operation, I enrolled in a yoga instructor course. I did it for myself to know how to practice in accordance with all the rules, because that was also what I was then - extremely fundamental. I was also very concerned about the assessments of others, but with the measures of practice I gained slack in my head and body, I changed my views and lifestyle. I let go and saw a sense of ease in myself.
Now you are helping others for whom yoga has become a form of recovery for various reasons?
I try to help others, I have also been running a blog jogadlaciebie for six years, I am an instructor on yoga trips for women. As many people as possible, I try to convince me that a change in lifestyle and attitude towards myself causes a flourishing in life.
What style of yoga do you practice?
I practice hathayoga, but in my individual practice I smuggle the fluidity of the vinyasayoga movement.
What is your dream related to spiritual development, the path of yoga?
I would like to do a yoga instructor course in India or Bali, but I also think that this is not a determinant of whether someone is a better or worse instructor. This experience could be a great inspiration for me.
Practicing yoga is a good life idea for you because?
First of all, practicing yoga will bring a change in mood, help to take care of our inner needs, teach us to listen to our intuition - our deep source of knowledge. Nowadays, we follow the crowd, we have little time to think about what we want, what we need. Only working on yourself allows you to look more broadly at the value of your existence.
As you teach yoga, do you experience the gratitude of those you help?
Yes, there are many stories imprinted in my memory, I will mention one of them. Six years ago I started practicing with an elderly lady, she once told me that I had restored her joy to life. She opened up to me, she felt lonely, but thanks to our practice, she realized that she could be happy with herself, not only because of the other person.
Happiness is in all of us?
That's right, we have to find happiness in ourselves, going to the other end of the world will not change anything in our lives, if we do not discover joy in ourselves. Changing the environment will not bring about changes, it may sound trivial, but it is.
The world maintains the illusions of thinking that we must be someone else?
We are driven by the media, the Internet, and patterns around us. We feel that we are insufficient. Through the practice of yoga, meditation, we discover that we are sufficient and that we can adjust the world to what we want, not the other way around. We become calmer by turning off those external signals that harm us.
Yoga practice requires nothing, and any moment is right to introduce it into our lives?
"Yoga is 99% practice and 1% theory." A lot of people ask me how to get started, what they need to get started. In fact, we just need ourselves to get started. When we stand on a carpet or mat, we are able to silence external stimuli for a few moments and focus on breathing. The essence of yoga is breath-prana, or life energy, then we are here and now, it is a form of meditation in motion. Every moment of our life is just the right one to start.

How you brought yoga together in three important aspects of your life, psychology i coaching?
I combined them by creating my original method, which is Yoga Life Coaching, which actually combines three aspects that are so important to me. Yoga - as a set of determinants of a good life, in harmony with yourself. It shows how to live a life that is juicy, full and authentic. It is also a link to your own body. Psychology and Coaching - which are a tool for me to help guide me on the right path. By using the verbalization of our desires and needs, we build awareness and understanding of ourselves on a mental level. These three elements are a holistic connection for me, between mind, heart and body.
Why did you consider the psychological aspects of human life?
I am a master of psychology and although I finished my studies some time ago, they were definitely the starting point for my personal and professional journey. I am fascinated by how we live, what choices we make and what patterns we follow. By observing this, we can change our lives for the better.
What guided you when you chose your career path?
The professional beginnings were marked by the need to meet expectations, a sense of the need to succeed, also in the material field. I was driven by ambitions which, as it turned out later, did not find fertile ground. And that's good, because the work in an advertising agency that I was doing at that time was completely inconsistent with my values, which I am aware of today. After 5 years in this industry, I felt completely burned out. I decided to change something. Psychology came back to me when I started living more consciously and looking for answers. It was then that life coaching appeared on my path, and the whole thing was completed by teaching yoga and working with personal development, which I love. I've always wanted to work with passion, but only when I got to know myself, did I understand what I really want to do in my life.
At some point you connected yoga and psychology, is it in your opinion a good form of contact with the body, mind, soul?
Yoga is for me more than just physical exercises (asanas) - it is the psychology of the Eastern world. Thus, by combining psychology in our understanding and yoga, we have the opportunity to look at ourselves from a broader perspective and in a holistic perspective. The Yoga Life Coaching trend that I use in my work gives my clients the opportunity to get to know themselves, change their lives and achieve what they want and need the most. In fact, yoga and psychology (or coaching if we are talking about the attitude towards the future) is a collection of tips on how to reach the knowledge that each of us already has in us. They help you live in harmony with yourself and fully.
How did yoga come into your life, or was it is a conscious choiceór, coincidence?
I assume there are no coincidences. I came to yoga because I wanted to take care of my body. From the need to take care of the spine, back. I worked full time, at my desk, all day at the computer. I felt the effects of sitting and lack of exercise a lot, for these reasons I decided to enroll in yoga. It wasn't until later that I discovered how much more yoga has to offer. Today I teach this yoga to its full extent.
Where did you get your patterns from when you practiced yoga ?
I lived abroad for a good few years and traveled a lot, India, Southeast Asia, Europe, New Zealand, Australia. It was then that I broadened my horizons. I began to understand that the world is open to us and that we are the only limitation (e.g. by a language block and shame). I started peeping and learning from teachers all over the world. Returning to Poland, I had the assumption that I wanted to instill new models here and go beyond the well-established patterns of education or personal development.
In ktAt what point in your life have you discovered that yoga is much more than properly done asanas?
In fact, I only noticed it on my second trip to India, then I understood what yoga is. I was doing a teacher training course at the time. During the course, thanks to my teachers, it dawned on me that yoga is much more than just the body. I felt it on myself.
This journey opened a new space in me, I saw yoga as a holistic approach that combines body, spirit and work with emotions. I include all of this in my class with my students.
What was your first trip to India?
The first trip to India included a tour of the country and a retreat in the Himalayas. I studied in Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre. There was a lot of emphasis on awareness during this trip bodiesto. CIAit is very important, espfromIt is not for us Westerners, so I do not want to marginalize it. By working with awareness ciaI learned myself anew. I began to see connections between what mfromin and my body, and how I think or feel. However, I found out how to understand and read them later, when I entered the spiritual path of yoga.
What was different about the next trip to India, what this trip brought with it?
The second trip to India was a case of ktwhich was not an accident. In four years I have traveled searching for myself, experiencing. I spent seven months backpacking, exploring Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. I was looking for myself, I knew that I wanted to live to the full. This trip was supposed to be the culmination of all trips. India was not planned at all, and it was not meant to be an encounter with yoga. I bought tickets to Sri Lanka, after thinking, I found that maybe two and a half months on one island would be too long. He startedso am looking for a yoga course in india ktwhich was to be the fulfillment of this time. I flew from Sri Lanka to a teacher training course in Goa. When flying there, I did not expect that I would become a yoga teacher. I was doing it for myself, to meet myself.
How has yoga changed your life?
There are two yoga chapters in my life, the first one in whichI treated her a bit superficially and the other one, in whichwhich flourished. It was 2018, then I understood that yoga allows me to know myself, authentic, real. All the changes happened because yoga stopped me. He was in everyday life or travelsI am in the rush of life all the time. I looked at myself, my values, I looked at my emotions. WsI fell into my body and what it is the story tells me. The body is very strongly connected with the emotions, ktwhich thanks to yoga I began to notice, name and let go.
Did you get to know yourself through yoga?
Yoga gaveand for me the opportunity to connect with myself - to get to know my authentic self, gave me a chance to rest, became my support during a deep crisisin. The truth is, when I landed on a teacher training course I had a deep life crisis and yoga helped me overcome it. It gave me a sense of meaning, understanding, a feeling of being connected to myself undera.
What kind of yoga do you practice?
I don't have one style thatI am fully dedicated to the eighth. I feel hatha in my heartyoga - this traditional path, ktwhich is static, in whichwhich is to stop and feel yourself and your breath. On the other hand, given mine fiery nature, the need to be active, I practice and teach vinyasa, it is more dynamic but also creative a form of yoga. This style was created a little bit less western man, ktfromremu it is harder otherwise to keep the mind. Practicing alone at home, I most often combine these techniques responding to what I need the most at a given moment.
Yoga nidra, ktThat is a good wayor to calm the rushing mindin?
Yoga nidra it's practice pratyahary, that is exit from the outside world and inviting the senses inside. Nidra in the language of yoga means sleep and it is this deep relaxation that the body is subjected to. For the spirit, however, it is an opportunity to see what is on the border of our subconscious. It is a form of guided meditation that makes possiblethere internal travel, listen to yourself. Maybe be shealso used as a therapist's practicemanual or an exercise in mindfulness.
You have created a project for women, what are its assumptionspeople?
Woman in full - kt projectfromry i run was made for women who want more. Its primary goal is flukesfromI value women their power, giving them the opportunity to look at themselves, come outcia outside the structure uwikhierarchical chains, patriarchy andfroml social in which we are implemented a nurturing femininity and sisterhood at the same time. We often push ourselves to the background, and in fact we are the most important person in life for ourselves. We forget about it too often.
Everything is in us, you just need to discover it?
That's right, coaching helps me discover and find myself, it is a supporting technique for me in extracting answers thatwhich we carry within ourselves, to the level of consciousness.
How would you encourage someone to practice yoga?
I remember my first times and my needs with wthen. So I will step into the shoes of a beginner. People whoSince they are on the mat for the first time, I can assure you that yoga will allow them to get to know themselves, mainly at first by ciawo i becoming aware of how we breathe. It will bring relief and respite. With regular practice and openness, perhaps also through experiences on a deeper level. Above all, however, dit is an opportunity to get out of the everyday chaos i simply being with and for yourself in the present moment.
Did you find your purpose in your life thanks to yoga?
From the moment I entered the path of holistic yoga, I cannot imagine my everyday life without it, both privately and professionally. Yoga gaveand me the opportunity to come incia to the path of your dharma - your destiny. When I discovered it, I just knew thatthat this is my way - teaching i support of others in discovering yourself. All the doubts I had before have disappeared, and fulfilling my destiny gives me a great sense of fulfillment, joy and satisfaction every day.
Can everyone find their dharma?
It's not always easy but I believe that you ktfromthey will be prfromthey can find her. And it's really worth looking for! Our destiny may change depending on the moment in life we are in. The fact that today we will find ourselves in a given destiny does not mean that it will look the same in a few years. We can have I tea few. However, if you feel that you are not doing what you want and do not feel satisfied then you should definitely explore the possibilities that life gives us.
You are in the field of your intereststhe ralso astrology?
Astrology is an indicative map for meit is seen as something magical, but if we delve into it, we start to notice how closely related it is to the need to get to know ourselves. The energy aspect is very marked in astrology. The influence of the planets, the star system on us, on the earth, all matters. It's not just what your zodiac sign is, but what was the arrangement of the celestial bodies at the time of your birth and how it resonates with what it is today.
Why do you think astrology is something worth paying attention to?shed attention?
My adventure with astrology began with observing the moon, linking the cyclicality of the moon with the female cyclicality. Moving on, more and more withdelving into astrologersę and the more I understand it, I notice more and more hints coming from it. Astrology is for me fun fact. Along with the new astrological year, I launched the annual project ASTRO KRĘFEMALE GU, ktfromry is assumed to have pomfromc discovering themselves for women also through the use of astrology, teach them to understand who they are. Astrology is a map along whichfromrej we can move but the factorfromin upbuilding us and on us There are many more influencers that should be kept in mind.
What female energy brings to the world and our realitythere?
For me, female energy brings attention to feeling, heart and emotions. It allows emotions to just be. In the world, in ktfromthe rhyme dominates mind, intuition is relegated as being less important, or not existing or confusing us. For me, femininity is an opportunity to listen to the voice of intuition and the heart, respecting and respecting these aspectsthats in our life and just being. However, everything should be in balance - it is therefore important to combine the male and female elements with each other, respect and nurture both.
Do you have any dream related to the development of yoga practice?
My dream is to come backót to India. When I went there for the first time, it felt like I was inshe was going home and I miss this house. Due to covid, the journey was impossible. However, I hope to go there later this year. I would like tofromalso be able to meet in person and take part in my classes mentorki, która lives in Canada, I didn't have such an opportunity due to the pandemic. This is from John Roemer, I learned what nidra is and how to chair it. Kt scriptsI create are based on what energy in a given lunar cycle is affecting us. It was she who motivated me to work with astrology and the therapeutic aspect in relation to energy, ktwhich affect us.
How would you summarize your relationship with yoga?
Recently, my first and probably the most important yoga lesson that I received in India has been very much resonating in me. M.fromand it says that by putting ourselves first and honoring our needs, we best nurture our community. For me, the practice of yoga is a practice of self-love. So finding space every day to stand on the mat, meditating or investing in developmentfromj personal, I restore my power to create reality, ktfromra is good for me and my relatives.

Agata Rożeńska- yoga instructor, Italian language and windsurfing teacher. He has been living in Italy for 12 years, working on Lake Garda. She came to Italy to study, stayed because she found much more than sunny weather and blue skies. She studied political science and classical philology. She had a serious, responsible job, but she decided to put everything on one card and risk to live her own way, in harmony with herself. Yoga was the ignition link in these decisions, and because of it, wonderful changes and a happy life began.
How did yoga appear in your life?
Yoga in my life, I think, like many people, it appeared by accident. While living in my town in Italy, I saw by accident that a course was being organized and I just signed up for it. I went to my first class, I have to admit, it was not a very conscious choice, I think it was more of a curiosity. I have always liked sports and physical activity, and this is also how I approached yoga at the beginning. In the beginning I looked at the practice more from the point of view of the body, higher awareness came with time.
Did you take your first steps on the mat without any expectations or deeper knowledge of the subject?
Yoga for me started half seriously. Later, I attended classes more regularly and treated them more seriously. I was learning and becoming more and more aware. I began to discover that it was not just a physical practice and that there was a big world behind everything.
Yoga is a union of body and soul?
The body and the soul have never been separate, we just don't know how to pay attention to it in everyday life, we don't have time, we don't know that we should. Over time, we discover that the physical aspect of yoga is only a tiny part of the whole - awareness, balance.
How long have you been expanding your awareness by practicing yoga?
Yoga has been with me for about 10 years. In 2019. I did a one-year instructor course, it was hathayoga training. After this course, I had an additional three hundred hours next teacher training course. Not stopping there, I continued further training in online courses and additional classes. I have learned a lot since then and I'm learning all the time.
How has yoga changed your life?
Yoga has opened my eyes to everything I have inside. I have become more aware of how I feel, I have started to notice more things, I am more present, patient, I can be here and now. On my Instagram there is a signature agata.quieora, which in Italian means "here and now"
Being here and now has become my life motto. I feel that thanks to yoga I am better for myself, for the whole environment.
Yoga helped you make important life decisions that lead to big changes in your life?
At one point, yoga gave me a lot of courage and allowed me to follow my path, it became my own path. I quit my permanent job - I worked in transport and logistics. I had a real adult job that I had abandoned for yoga and a different lifestyle. I can confidently admit that I would not have changed this decision, even though it seemed crazy and irresponsible at the time.
Is there always the right time to change your life?
If someone is wondering whether it is worth taking the risk to be themselves, the answer is - YES. You can and it is worth changing your life at any moment, regardless of age.
Yoga has become your main activity / job?
Yoga is a big part of my life these days. There are other things I do, but yoga is at the center of my activities. I run internships for individuals and groups. It started with classes for friends, with time the group of my students grew. Now I run classes in Italy about four times a week, at different levels and individual classes for people from Poland and Germany, among others.
Apart from yoga, what gives you a sense of fulfillment and joy?
I teach Italian online, I like it a lot, this language fascinates me and gives me pleasure. I've always liked people's feelings, it was in me. Where I live, on Lake Garda, I also teach windsurfing.
You are very active, but I have the impression that you devote your energy to what you like, there is no sense of compulsion or obligation?
Yes, that's right, I'm doing what's really satisfying in my life now is yoga. If yoga had not appeared in my life, I do not know where I would be or if I would be doing what I enjoy.
What's your favorite yoga style?
The style I teach is- Jason Crandell Yoga Method. It is more of a method than a style, vinyasayoga combined with hathajoga flow. This method pays special attention to human anatomy, how it is given the item is to be made and why. The point is that the positions benefit the body, not harm it.
Does a poorly performed posture cause harm to the body?
If the postures are performed incorrectly and the body is not prepared, it can backfire. Repeated mistakes can lead to imbalance or unpleasant events in the body. I appreciate the Jason Crandell method because it aims to create a balance in our body between strength and flexibility. If a muscle is only flexible but has no strength, it cannot be called happy and vice versa. In my opinion, this method can really change anyone's practice. The static position, preparing the body for what is to be done next, is the key.
What is your advice for yoga beginners?
My advice to beginners is not to follow Instagram when viewing photos of rhythmic gymnastics items and not be scared by what they see. It's not really yoga really. The body reaches certain positions over time, and I also learned to do exercises that I never knew I would get to in my life. Regular practice leads to higher levels of difficulty and endurancebut that is not really the purpose of the practice. You don't have to be influenced by photos of other people, everyone has different predispositions and experience. Step by step, this is really important.
Is it best to start practice under the supervision of an instructor?
At the beginning of your adventure with Yoga, I recommend that you contact an instructor who will adjust the level of classes to a given person. I also do not recommend learning (by taking your first steps on the mat) yoga from videos, where nobody can see the positions you are doing, you can not correct them or tell you what to do when an error occurs. In Movies it happens that instructors talk a lot, and it is difficult for us to select what is really important, It's hard for us to choose the type and level that is right for us. You should also not push yourself from the beginning to chase a position or think that yoga is not for you because you are not as flexible / flexible as someone else.
Is yoga for everyone?
I bust the myth, yoga is not only for flexible people, yoga will make you more flexible. Not only on a physical level, but also on a mental level.
How would you encourage someone to practice yoga?
I'd just say- Take care of yourself. Yoga is a comprehensive self-care. It supports our physical strength, creates balance in various spheres of life. Yoga improves our breathing quality, our life changes completely. The breath is our most important thing. Awareness, health, healthy eating. There is a long list of all the benefits of yoga.
What would your life be like without yoga?
I have no idea. I think I would be less self-realized and less happy. Yoga changed my life for the better.
What is your dream direction related to learning yoga and spiritual development?
It would definitely be India, such a trip has been planned for a long time. It was supposed to take place two years ago, but I planned it for the wrong times. However, it was postponed, not canceled. Maybe that's what it was supposed to be like, let's approach it in a yogic way. I am patiently waiting for this trip and the opportunity to learn from the best instructors. I would like to visit Rishikesh, see this place, just be there. I even have a piggy bank, into which I throw a coin every now and then journey to India.
At the beginning of your yoga journey and in your life changes, were you supported by your relatives?
From the beginning of the changes in my life, I had support, my mother went with me to my first yoga class. My parents help me promote my classes, my dad is my most trusted photographer, almost all the photos on Instagram were taken by him. Many of my friends also started practicing yoga with me and are still with me today. From the very beginning, I felt supported and accepted.
In fact, not much is needed to practice yoga, how not to get trapped in artificial needs related to the spiritual life?
Our times are quite difficult, because thanks to IG we can easily reach a large number of recipients, but this large group of people also has a lot of information that can bombard us from all sides. There are plenty of companies offering clothes, mats, blocks and other items. It's not a bad thing, it's great that we have the opportunity and the choice. I love mats myself and have a bit of manna about them, I change the colors, patterns and materials they are made of.
How not to go crazy in all this?
You have to know your needs in all this, know what we expect and need.
Are you meditating?
I try to meditate every morning, there is a great application I recommend "Insight Timer", there are various meditation programs registered there. There is something for everyone. If someone is frightened by the vision of meditation, I will reassure him that sometimes it is enough to just sit down and breathe, and that is also a form of meditation. You can start with a minute, it does not have to be an hour immediately. In the application that I mentioned, there are meditations designed to start the day, for stress, etc. Of course, meditating also without the application, there are many forms of meditation.
A walk is also a great form of meditation
Yes, I agree, a walk can also be a form of meditation, everything is supposed to lead to a certain balance. Being here and now, being able to observe your surroundings, taking a deep breath. The existence of the present moment, paying attention to how we feel at the moment, how we rest our feet on the ground.
Is it worth giving up yoga sometimes, if this is what our body tells us?
Yoga practice may seem strange at first, but everything comes with time, it's important to give yourself time, it's worth silencing your ego. Practice aimlessly to become aware. Our body is also different every day, and this practice will also be different every day. Certainly, there will also come days when we wake up and we will not feel like practicing yoga, we are in pain, we do not want to. Whether the weather is not the best for us. Then it is worth to let go, take a break and listen to yourself. Maybe there really is a reason not to.
Recently, the largest number of practicing people are women, it is especially important for us to know how to listen. Every day our body is different, hormones change. The amount of water drunk during the day also affects us, it determines the well-being and flexibility of the body. Calmness of exercise, self-acceptance, and peace of mind are very important. Sometimes 10-15 minutes on the mat is enough to stretch the body. We don't always have time for one hour of practice during the day. Let's make friends with our own body.
What do you say to a person who, after the first class, feels that yoga is not for them?
I think people who think yoga is not for them have not yet found an instructor for themselves. Find another instructor who will resonate well with you, find a style that suits you, adjust the intensity of the practice to your level. A relationship with an instructor is like a relationship with a friend, you cannot meet a friend in the first person you meet. Maybe you'll be lucky and hit the right place, but not necessarily. You need to have a feeling with the instructor, he has to speak to you, feel whether his tone of voice is pleasant or relaxes you, not irritated by his behavior. This is a very personal matter.
Is there a yoga / spiritual quote or sentence close to your heart that you would like to share?
"Your body is in the past. Your mind in the future. In yoga they fuse together in the present. "
B.K.S. Iyengar

The benefits of regular yoga and concentration are enormous. As it turns out, the effects of exercise can be enhanced by the right atmosphere and mood in the room. So how to take care of such a climate? We have some tips for you.
Create a space for yourself
Find a place to exercise in your apartment. Place your mat and any other accessories you have there. You can also add all sorts of oriental figurines. Try to find a space where you can focus only on yoga. The size of the "self corner" fully depends on your preferences. Some will like the small and intimate one, while others will prefer a large room - there is complete freedom in this subject. According to many yogis, choosing one space for yoga practice is the key to complete relaxation and peace. It gives us a sense of security and the awareness that the time spent in a given place is a moment for us.
The sense of smell and relaxation
As it turns out, the smells in the room have a significant impact on our concentration. Before starting the exercises, you can light scented candles or incense sticks. The well-known aromas will allow you to fully concentrate and concentrate. They also support relaxation and a sense of security. You can arrange all fragrant accessories in the aforementioned "relaxation corner".
Silence
I think each of us knows how difficult it is to focus when someone constantly accosts us. Yoga is an activity in which concentration of thoughts plays a major role. So ask your family members to remain silent, and if possible - to leave the room. Eliminate any gadgets that can distract you. Mute the phone, turn off the radio or TV. Remember that this part of the day belongs to you and try to use it as well as you can.
During the session, turn on quiet, relaxing music. It will allow you to fully relax and unwind. It works just like smells - a well-known melody will give you a sense of security. As a result, relaxation will come to you much faster. Some music apps have yoga-specific playlists - you should look for them in advance. Maybe you will even find one that will stay permanently during your practice and become its integral part.
Prepare yourself for each exercise
Take care of every detail before starting the session. If you are using other gadgets, place them close to the mat. As a result, you will not have to stop yoga, and each addition will be right next to you. Unnecessary searching will surely be problematic and impractical. It is also a good idea to have a pillow handy to sit on and meditate at the beginning or end of the practice.
It is worth taking care not only of yoga accessories. There should be water next to your mat, which you can use during or after exercise. Staying well hydrated has a significant impact on your well-being during and after yoga.
Yoga attire
Many people find this point trivial. As it turns out, a good outfit can have a significant impact on our comfort during exercise. Let's choose the one with the right size and cut, all according to your preferences. Inappropriately selected clothes can significantly restrict movements, and in many people even cause embarrassment.
Summary…
A yoga instructor can correct our posture and position, and by practicing alone, we have to correct ourselves. It requires concentration and mindfulness. Introducing these points into your routine will help you be "here and now." Yoga at home, practiced in the right conditions, will allow you to experience many more benefits.

If you want to start your yoga practice seriously, or if you are already exercising regularly, it is a good idea to invest in your own mat. The mat is a second home for a yogi, it should cooperate with us, take care of our safety as well as make our practice more pleasant and help us to learn it. You don't know which one to choose? You are in the right place!
The material is the basis
The aspect that we should pay the most attention to is the material. It must not only be soft, but also completely safe for our health! The market is dominated by mats z rubber, natural rubber and microfiber, PVC, polyurethane, cork or TPE.
Until recently, the most popular mats were z PVC (polyvinyl chloride). The material itself is completely synthetic and not biodegradable. It is a toxic ingredient that is dangerous to both our body and the environment. It is very easy to clean and is durable. If you choose this option, it is best to check that your future mat has been checked for the presence of toxic substances. PVC mats have medium slip resistance, are durable and have a low price.
Rubber mats are definitely a higher shelf. Rubber it natural material. This fact alone is an advantage for many. Natural rubber yoga mats are completely biodegradable and very durable - in many cases a good rubber mat will serve you for years of practice. They are also mats that provide the greatest grip and anti-slip properties. It is definitely a good choice for people who sweat intensively during practice.
Our definite favorite is the combination of two options - rubber and microfiber. Why? The answer is simple. First of all, rubber is a material of natural origin, which is of great importance to us, as we are looking for pro-ecological solutions. What's more, it is distinguished on the market by its outstanding anti-slip properties, which guarantees the safety of performing all asanas. The rubber mat does not slip on the floor and does not slide. The addition of microfiber is designed to absorb sweat and moisture - you will not feel that you are sticking to the mat.
The big advantage of microfiber mats for many people is theirs design. It is possible to print any graphics on the microfiber, so you can find mats with a very original appearance that will make the time spent on the mat even more pleasant.
Caring for microfiber mats is simple - just wipe them wet with a cloth or sponge, without using detergents. In the case of larger dirt, the mat can be washed in a washing machine (at 30 degrees) or by hand.
The next great option is turning out to be mat PU (made of polyurethane). PU mats are usually never entirely made of this material. PU is used only for the production of the upper part of the mat. The inside and the bottom are most often made of PVC or rubber. Polyurethane is very pleasant to the touch. Often, mats with a PU surface are smooth. Importantly, despite their smoothness, they retain excellent anti-slip properties. This material is extremely soft and pleasant to the touch. PU mats have great adhesion, but its disadvantage is quite a large weight - about 4 kg.
A worthy competitor are also mats made of TPE that is, thermoplastic foam. They gained popularity due to their exceptional lightness and softness - so they are perfect for traveling. What's more, they are pleasant to the touch and perfectly cushion the body. It is worth mentioning that TPE is quite a soft material (unlike rubber and PVC which are dense and compact). For some people, this is a disadvantage as they prefer harder materials.
Cork has also been gaining popularity recently. First, it is a 100% natural material derived from the bark of the cork tree - a renewable resource. Cork has antibacterial and antistatic properties. This means that it does not retain bacteria and dust, and can therefore be safely used by allergy sufferers. After practice, it is enough to wipe it with a damp cloth to get rid of dirt from the mat surface.
Does the weight of the mat matter?
It turns out that weight can make a big difference. The lightness of this gadget will be especially appreciated by those who travel a lot with their mat, e.g. traveling. When choosing the right mat, remember not to decide on unnecessary kilograms, because wearing such a mat may simply discourage us.
The perfect mat length for you
The standard length version is 180 cm by 60 cm. However, there are various variants on the market, e.g. 183/185, 200, 216 cm in length, 61, 66 and even 80 cm in width. In our opinion, the mat should be long enough to fit on it during savasana.
The thicker the better?
The fact is that a thicker mat cushions our body better during exercise. You have to take into account that thickness affects not only comfort, but also weight, which may turn out to be simply impractical. The width of the mat is usually between 1-7mm.
Thin mats are those up to 2 mm thick. They are very light and therefore perfect for traveling. They are most conveniently practiced on the grass, on the beach or on another mat that is available at a yoga school. Medium variants are those whose thickness varies around 3 / 4mm. They are universal and, what's more, very comfortable. The last variant is those with a width greater than 4mm. The cushioning of each movement goes hand in hand here with considerable weight.
Our mats are the perfect solution for those who still do not know what to choose. We offer you optimal solutions that will fully satisfy even the most demanding customers. The combination of beautiful, inspiring design and functionality will enrich and make your everyday practice more enjoyable. A yoga mat is a second home for a yogi, choose a mat you will love.
